Summer’s End
Thursday, September 14th, 2006The last few weeks have been an absolute blur here. Summer draws to a close but we are still busy at work on the River & Rock House and the trail team is making good progress on Pilot Mountain. We all gathered on the trail a couple of weeks ago. The stone crew got to see firsthand all the work being done in the woods. Just hiking into the job site wore out those of us who commute to work in cars. We had a meeting, a picnic, a barbecue and played horseshoes and bocci. Last time it was bowling. Next time: tetherball.
I have lost count of how many weeks we have been on the River & Rock House. We hope to be moving onto other projects in the next week or so.

This small section of wall has been named Potter’s Scar in honor of the lightning bolt on Harry’s forehead.

This skink was a recent visitor to sunny side of the house. He enjoyed the habitat our stonework provided but soon tired of my attempts to take his picture.
